I was on the depo shot for 4 years and once i stopped taking it i became pregnant 11 months later.

Depo-Provera is not a good choice if you want to be pregnant in the next year or two. Why? Because it typically takes 9 to 10 months to become pregnant after you stop taking Depo-Provera as a contraceptive. It could even take up to 24 months after discontinuing use of Depo-Provera for you to become pregnant. The length of time you use Depo-Provera has no effect on how long it takes you to become pregnant

usually a year,i just ended depo in jan 2008 and i was told it may take a year after you 1st start getting your regular period again,but i may be pregnant now and i know 2 people who got pregnant a month/2 after ending depo,i was also told you can get pregnant without a period,try to pinpoint when you ovulate and have an ovulation calendar to get your best fertile days to have s*x,they have them on babyzone.com for free,gd luck

I wondered the same thing.  It varies with every woman. Some get pregnant within a few months, and some a few years. It varies.  Drink lots of fluids and water to help flush the hormone out of your system. I just stopped the depo provera early August, and geez I already got a period!  But who knows when I will get pregnant again.  BUt anyway, drink lots of fluids and it will help get your body to get back to normal and start ovulating again.  :) Good luck if your trying to get pregnant, as I am too. :)
