  1. first some people find front splits easier or side split and most people have a stronger leg so are better at right then left.

i have been streaching on and off for 2 monthes and are about 3-6 inches off depending on how much i streach. But that my front splits, the best thing you can do is the normal streches from sports and a warm up then sit in your splits.

now side splits different story. the straddle dosnt work for me so i put my legs agaisnt the wall the push my legs as far apart as possible then sit in the butterfly position/froggy the sit in the splits

hope this helps some people find it easier than other do it evry day if you can just warm up first

    good luck

  2. To answer your first question:

It really depends on the person and the amount of effort you put into it. If you really try hard, but not too hard (because you could pull a muscle), maybe, practicing them 10-20 mins per day you could get them in a few weeks, a few months, or a year. It really just depends.

To practice the left and right splits, well, just go down into them, hold it for a minute where it pulls a little, but not where it hurts unbearably, and then switch.

To practice the middle split, sit on the floor with your legs as far apart as you can get them. Go down and try to touch your face, and stomach to the floor. Hold it where it hurts, but where it doesnt hurt TOO bad.

To stretch each leg you can also try stationaries. Stand on one leg (if you cannot balance on one leg, put your back against the wall for balance)hold your leg out in front of you. Pick your heel up with both hands and pull your leg as close to your body as you can get it.

Good luck! You can do it!

  3. there are no tricks, or easy cheats to getting the splits

i am almost down in my left splits.

how long depends on how long you practice them and i practiced 10 minutes twice a week for a year and a half and went from 1 foot off the ground to 3 inches off the ground but if you practice longer more often you can get 'em down in prob as quick as a month

  4. it takes normally a year each...or all good luck

  5. try doing deep lungs, then after about 2 counts of 8 pull back and you'll feel your legs stretch and be sure to keep your legs straight.

It takes time and a lot of work try doing these stretches 2 times a day if possible its OK to it it only once a day though

To get the left and right splits, well, just go down into them, hold it for about a minute where it pulls a little, but not where it hurts to much

To practice the middle split, sit on the floor with your legs as far apart as you can get them. Go down and try to get your face to  the floor. Hold it where it hurts, but not so that it hurts to much it is possible to pull a muscle which hurts a lot

I'll post pics soon to show you what it looks like using my little sister

she been dancing since she was 2 too and is now 12 and gets them perfect.
