How long does it take to get to the Mexican border driving from GA, USA?

From Columbus Ga to Laredo Texas (boarder) 1060 miles and will take about 16 hours driving time.

note; I was stationed at Ft. Benning and live in San Antonio TX

Depends from where in Georgia and where you are planning to cross the border. If you know where you are leaving from in Georgia and where you plan to cross the border you can look it up on google maps and probably even on Yahoo! and find the distance and driving time.

It is about 1150 miles from Atlanta to Matamoros ( just across the border from Brownsville , Tx).  it is about 18 hrs driving time.  you can go to googlemaps.com, click on "get directions', enter your city and the Mexican city near the border where you want to cross, and it will give you directions and a map.
