How long does it take to get your paper through employment-based petition?

I'm working at this adult family home.

The Owner of the adult family home wants to petition me to get my papers. I havent heard anything about this kind of case yet, so im wondering if this is even possible and how long does it take?

if u are in the USA already and with out papers make sure to consult an immigration lawyer before attempting anything since a well intentioned boss could actually mess up ur chances to become legal if he doesn't really know what he is doing . if u actually are legally in this country u should consult a certified immigration lawyer still so than everything goes smoothly .
