It would depend on the volume of players on the course, and how fast or slow they play as well as how many players are in your group.

In general, you can expect to complete a 9 hold executive course (in major metro areas) in about 1 hour (non congested) and 1 1/2 hr to 2 hrs (very slow play).

By the way, a 9 hole course does not necessarily mean it's par 3 golf.  Par 3 golf just means all the hole are short and are rated par 3.  9 hole courses usually have at least 2 par 4 holes to be a USGA sanctioned course.

Depends on the length of the par 3 course, walking distance between holes, whether you are riding or walking and whether you are 2,3 or 4 players. At the nicest par 3 course at the Fairmont Princess in Bermuda, one could finish 9 holes from 1 and 1/4 to 1 and 3/4 hours .One definitely has to play all 18 to appreciate the views and the difficulty of a well constructed layout.
