  1. A day to years.  As long as it takes.  There are way too many variables to answer this question.

  2. Healing after a nervous breakdown takes time, months before you feel like you are "yourself" again.   Think of what it is like to fall into  water unexpectedly.  It takes awhile before you can find balance and a firm place for your feet to touch to steady yourself - even longer to climb back out of the water.

In some ways this is how it feels to suddenly lose your physical, mental, and emotional equilibrium.   There will be a need to address each part of you as you seek to regain your health.  Having some professional guidance from a Counselor / Therapist can help you to sort it out a bit more efficiently - but it still takes time.

Thinking of the cause of what got you to this point of a breakdown, something was simply "too much" on your system.  So, when you attempt to heal you will need to make some changes, because you can no longer be healthy with so much stress on your system.  Health will be coming out of change, getting to know your limits, and learning to not exceed them, learning to balance the stresses in your life.

How long does it take?  Figure on taking months to  a year working toward your healing and finding a new sense of normal before you will feel like you've found yourself again.

  3. You can get rid of your nervous breakdown in no time, if you are mentally strong.

Consult a good Doctor. You can take the advice from your close relatives and friends for some moral and intellectual support.

  4. I think every person will react different dear, depending on the situation and environment around you and of course, the thing that made you crack in the first place. I had mine in October 2007 and i'm still recovering... but receiving therapy, medication etc on top of all that so that of course has set backs in it's own. I'm told I may be 'good to go' in about  6months or so... so really, thats about a year and a half.

Don't RUSH to get better, you have to allow yourself time and not compare yourself to others who have recovered quicker etc. It's just like grief or losing something, we all react in different ways. Dont let any one push you or make you feel bad for the way you feel. If it gets on top of you, find yourself a good counsellor whom you feel comfortable talking to.

And stay away, if you can, from the situations and peoples that stress you.

    Good luck girl!

  5. Honey you never heal but you can recover from one with Therapy and medication hope everything works out oh it takes alot of hard work & alot of honesty with yourself to recover also
