How long does it take to learn the technique of dance?

I want to try out for this dance team at my school in August, but I am not all the good when it comes to technique. I took ballet when I was younger but not enough to master all of the turns and leaps. If I start practicing really hard right now how long would it take for me to learn all of the turns and leaps. Oh and what are the names of the leaps and turns I would have to learn.

  1. honestly, one never really masters all of the turns and leaps pursae..but you can get really good at them..it may take a while but if you have the determination(which i think you do) you should be fine..sone of the leaps and turns would probably be a grand jete, a jump in second, a tore jete, and some of the turns would probably be a double pirouette and a faute

  2. if i was you i would find a dance school that teaches the RAD (royal accadamy of dance) exams because that will tech u everything u need to know!

  3. it can take all of your dancing career. I know a person dancing for 20 years still has not mastered "everything"
