I was in Paris this summer!  I sent a postcard from Paris to VA on Bastille day and my dad claims to have gotten it only 4 days later.  I sent others to my friends and they didn't receive theirs until a week later.

Unfortunately, the time can vary widely. I have sent mail from Paris that took 3 months to arrive in the United States.
