How long does it take to process an employment visa for Dubai?

I was offfered a job in Dubai as a Systems Engineer two months ago. I was asked to join the company by mid-june 2008 though the offer letter did not mention any date of joining in it. However, since i had a US degree, i had to send my certificates for attestation to the US. Only on receipt of this could the company arrange for an employment visa. The complany received the certs on June 25, 2008 & told me that they will process the visa immediately. I am waiting now for a month & nothing has come across still. I heard that as per the new rules it takes 30-45 days to process the employment visa for Dubai. Is it true? Pls help........any information with this regard will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

yes it usually takes up to 50 days for processing.  u can call / email company and see how it goes.

be patient as your degree is from usa.  there's some clearance required by dubai authorities
