How long does it take to re-grip a set of golf clubs?

I'm looking at re-griping a my irons (3-PW) and the local golf retail store said that they can re-grip the clubs in 10 minutes and I just want to confirm that is true.

Perhaps you may have misunderstood the time but anyone who is familiar with regripping clubs can do a club in 10 minutes. That would be removing the old grip, cleaning the area down to the shaft, rebuilding the base under the grip and replacing the grip with adhesive.Now you have to let the grip set and the adhesive do its work before you use the clubs. Most will not use the set until the next day.

A club can be regripped in 10 minutes, but you can't use it for 15 minutes or so.  That is one club.  The whole set will take longer than that.

For a set of 3-PW, it takes about 20 minutes. A lot depends on how good the person is re-gripping them and it also depends on if the old grips are dry-rotted. If they are, it will take about 20 minutes just to get the old ones off.

I hate re-gripping clubs that have dry-rotted grips.

It totally depends.  Given the right circumstances, 10 minutes seems super fast but not impossible.  When I regrip clubs, I would say 30 minutes is more likely.

Actually 10 minutes for 8 clubs is stretching it.  Guideline is depending on the condition of your old grips and underlying tape then count on 1 to 3 minutes per club.

First, I definately suggest doing all your clubs with the same grip.  It'll help with the feel from you drive throught the PW.

if you know what you're doing and have 14 clubs (making sure you put a putter grip on a putter) it should take you about 4 minutes a club from start to finish (see above answer for process) so you're looking at an hour total.  If you don't know what your doing or the old grips have been on for years it will take you longer to get the tape off.  expect it to take about 30 minutes more.

MAKE SURE YOU LINE THEM UP RIGHT!  There are guides on most grips.  Look down the shaft and make sure the guides go straight down the shaft.

You can play with them an hour after you're done but I'd wait a day just to be sure.

Well if they have 14 guys working on them at the same time they might be able to do it in 10 minutes, but realistically it takes about 10 minutes per club.

10 and 20 twenty minutes?? How many arms do you guys have? If you're a trained, experienced club repairman that has the proper set up and tools perhaps 20 minutes. But the guy at your local retail golf store works in sales and of course they're always aggressive with somebody else's time. They really expect you to shop while you're there, so you won't get them in 10 minutes.
