How long does it take to receive the stimulus check if it was returned to the IRS as undeliverable.?

H & R BLOCK PUT MY ADDRESS DOWN WRONG ON MY TAX RETURN AND THE POST OFFICE TOLD ME THEY RETURNED IT TO THE IRS AS UNDELIVERABLE. I CALLED THE IRS AND CORRECTED THE ADDRESS WEDNESDAY BUT HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE ME TO RECEIVE IT NOW? IT SUCK'S CAUSE WE REALLY NEEDED THE MONEY.

Before you sign anything you should review what you are signing.  If H&R Block had the wrong address you should have caught that when you reviewed and signed the return!

Whenever you have someone prepare your tax return - you need to make sure that your name, address, social security number and bank account numbers are correct.  Now if you go back to that same H&R office next year they probably will carry your information forward from last year and duplicate the wrong address!

It could take six weeks to get a replacement check.

Don't but blame on anyone but yourself for a wrong address, when you received your copy you should of reviewed the form before signing.  

So you did not verify all information submitted on your tax return was correct so now you want IRS to hurry up and send you your check.  You have delayed receiving your refund for up to 6 weeks.  Once the POST office returns it to IRS, IRS will update your records and request another check to be issued.

I called the i.r.s about the same thing today and they said it will go through the system and come right back out on the next friday check will be sent out which is today June20,2008 and u should recive it on Monday. Luck for you!!!!!! Because to trace a check it can take up to 8 weeks or longer.Good thing you don't have to go through that, because it was alredy sent back

The IRS would be the best one to ask. I would even see it it could be direct deposit now to be safe.

The only reason not to get direct deposit if its possible is that it can get put into someone else account by mistake
