How long does it take to redye hair to its natural color?

My mom died my hair like 2-3 weeks ago and I really don't like it anymore. How long does it take for it to grow out? Or is it better to just redye it? My natural hair color is brown, but right now its red and black. Any suggestions?

It takes about 2 years for most of the hair dye to fade all out.

It's better to re-dye it to the closest color to your natural one.
