How long does it take to renew an H-1b visa?

I know there is an express method but if you don't take that option, how long can someone expect to wait for there visa to be renewed.

If you are not filing for Premium Processing (15-day response-time), then H-1B status renewal applications are taking 2 1/2 months if you filed with the California Service Center or up to 7 months if you filed with the Vermont Service Center.  The filing location depends on the state where you are working.
