How long does it take to start your period after getting off the patch? ?

How long does it take to start your period after getting off of hormonal birth control? I haven't had a period in three months and am definitely not pregnant. I was on the pill or patch for about 8 years.

Hard to say...some women get it back right away, some take a while.  I had to have my doc give me Provera (progesterone) for one cycle to start my period and then did Clomid to regulate my cycle again.  If it doesn't come back in the next 30-60 days you could ask your doctor how to jump start it again.  Good luck!
