  1. On Google Maps it says it will take you 19min to walk it from the station but with people in the way and you stopping to look at the places from time to time it could take 30 or even 40min, I wouldn't say that matters really, I live in Kensington and love to walk around london no matter how long it takes because it is just a facinating city and where ever you are walking the time will fly by.

From Charing Cross Station go up the road which is diaginaly left from the entrance of the station instead of the strand called Duncannon Street, the turn right up St Martin's past the national and the portrait gallery, the street name will change  to Charing Cross Road and then finally Tottenham Court Road but carry going straight on, after you cross Oxford Street and enter Tottenham Court Road turn on the next right into Great Russell Steet and then follow this road and you will be able to see the British Museum.

If you change your mind about walking then get the Tube to Tottenham Court Road on the northern line going northbound, that will cut out alot but you will see less of this city

    Hope This Helps

  2. 20 minutes.

  3. Out the station left.Cross at the first lights walk straight on past the Post Office and carry on straight up to Tottenham Court Rd station.Right and

continue until you come to it.30 minutes but i bet you wander into Covent

Garden or some other shopping area.So more like 5 hours.

  4. About half an hour Leicester Square.

  5. Cross over to the north side of the strand, and head down Duncannon street.

Bear off to the right into,  st martins place (passing the church) on your right.

Continue forward up Charing cross road.

Continue forward up tottenham court road

First right into: Great russell street

Museum about 200 yards on Left.

This is the most direct route. approx 25 minutes depending on your ability.

    Their are alternatives.

  6. It's pretty bloody far to be honest. I would get the tube to Russell Square.
