How long does it take your eyes to make the adjustment?

How long does it take your eyes to make the adjustment from looking far away to looking into your bifocals and then back. Mine are taking a little more time than I feel comfortable with. These new bifocals have me baffled!

  1. It took my husband over a month. It took me about 10 minutes, but I had worn monovision contacts.


  2. Most people adapt within a week.  If you are still having trouble after that, consult your doctor to make sure the glasses were made correctly and that the base prescription is correct.
