Question:

How long does local anesthesia injected in the face last?

I have recently had a biopsy of a growth on my face and my dermatologist injected me with an anesthetic slightly to the left of my nose. My cheek has been swollen for over 24 hours now. I am pretty sure this is irregular. Any input would be helpful.

  1. I just had my wisdom teeth out and they gave me local anesthesia that they predicted would last approximately 8 hours. Some parts I gained feeling in before the others. When I woke up the next day I was fine. It seems irregular to me, I would call your dermatologist and inquire about it.
