  1. If she is already in the breeding tank, leave her be. I would leave her in the main tank. Just be sure that there are a lot of hiding places for the fry. Java moss, or just a bunch of plants are good. I just put a lot of plastic plants in a corner of my tank and had good success. Some will get eaten by other fish and some will just not make it for various reasons, but you probably don't have space for all of them anyway. She can have upwards of 70 fry at once_

  2. well the way i d this is i keep the mommy in her originl and get all the other fish out (i put the other fish in like flower vases and bowls and ect. just until she is finished giving birth) so the mommy wont stress when she gives birth i take the babies out gently with a net and trancfer them into the breeding tank so it doesnt stress the mom. so i would say no it will stresss the mom

  3. The best idea would be to move the mollie to her own tank to have the babies...a 5 gallon would be perfect...since the babies will have plenty of space and no predators. Being in the breeder tank can actually cause some fish to abort the pregnancy because of stress. If you do manage to get an extra tank to move her to, make sure you use a cup to move her and not a net, the net causes stress on her body and can hurt her and the fry.

  4. As long as it takes really but if you've no aggressive fish in the main tank then she's ok to swim free and to give birth out in the big tank! I put my mollie in a pregnancy tank, mothered her and gave her the best food, she had eleven babies and then a siamese fighter jumped into the floating tank and ate all the little ones! As long as you haven't got a monster like that in your main tank then mummy mollie should be fine being out with the rest! Best of luck and i hope it all goes well.
