I know there could be several variabled involved, but in short, my friend is asking her stepdad to send a cord from a camera here to Washington state.

He's stationed in iraq, and i just wanted to get a rough idea of how long its going to take to get here. I wanted to ask my friend, but i really didn't want to be rude about it considering its a touchy subject for her.

  1. I just sent some overseas to New Zealand. I took about 2 weeks. My cousin said it depend on the season. The postoffice give me options if I wanted to just send for $3.00 takes 2-3 weeks. Or if I wanted to airmail it for a week. Ask your postoffice.

  2. Am I right in assuming he's in the military? If so, that changes everything.

I just got done sending packages almost every other week, for 7 months,  to a friend in Baghdad, My packes got to him in anywhere between 7-14 days depending on the season. Now, stuff coming from him seemed to take a lot longer, sometimes on the order of 3+ weeks even for a letter. When I was in Kuwait, the stuff I sent home to the states got back in two weeks or less. I think its going to matter exactly where in Iraq he is. Also, I was mailing home to the east coast-friends in Kuwait who lived on the west coast said it took them about an extra week to get stuff there than it would to send to east coast.
