  1. Last time I travelled from Blackpool to London by train it took me about 3hrs and 20 mins.

Depends on which connection you get from Preston as some only take about 2 and a half hours from Preston depending on how many stops they make on the way.

  2. The journey takes between three-and-a-half and four hours.

See site below for more info:

  3. It takes 3 hours and 8 minutes and you will need to change once at Preston. Monday to Friday the trains run once an hour at 46 minutes pass the hour from Euston until 15:00 there ther is a more frequent service. On at Saturday they run two trains an hour at 48 & 55 past the hour.

    I hope that this helps.

  4. just over three hours.

click on "train timetables and tickets" and fill in your relevant details and there you go.

  5. It really depends on a lot of factors.  It should take no more than about three hours.  But there could be the wrong type of snow or leaves on the line or there could be a trackside fire in which case, who knows.  And, you may have to change train and you may have just missed the connecting train (because of the snow, leaves or fire) so, who knows.

Don't rely on anything the railway company tells you except if they say they have put the price up.

Oh, how refreshing to find people who think life on the railways is so simple.
