  1. if its a above average home, top of the line items...single story or 2 story......weather given and hold ups from subs ur looking at about 4-5 months turn key......thats EVERYTHING done....

    lic. gen. contractor

  2. Just a shot from the hip

Most builders could pull it off in 90-120 day range. Now the variables.

    1) How many change orders are given

    2) Subcontractor/material delays

    3) Permits

There are more possible delays but we don't live in a perfect world. That would really be something to talk to your contractor about.

    Good Luck

  3. If you hire someone who knows their thing and has a sizeable crew, they could prob have it completed in 3-4 months. That is only attainable if the sub's are on top of things and you have a reputable builder.

Crew size is a huge part along with getting your specialty items ordered early enough so when they are ready for them, they have them. Windows, siding and shingle colors, along with cabinets, faucets, flooring, etc can really slow a project down.

  4. Not long if you have a large enough crew of illegal Mexican laborers.

  5. Somewhere between a week (Home Makeover Extreme) to 20 years depending upon who is doing the building, how many are doing the building, where is the building, and how much money you want to spend on it.
