How long does the N-400, Application 4 Naturalization will be processed by USCIS 4 a member US Armed Forces?

I am in the United States Air Force, I applied for my citizenship on April 16 2008, I have gotten my receipt but I have not hear anything about my application after that. If you had the same experience please share with me. According to what I learn from Personnel Flight the Application should not take more than 30 to 120 days, I think that time period has passed and I am getting nervous about my application. Thanks if you take the times to answer my question.

About a year.

it takes the same time for processing as any other, no special given to armed forces or U.S. citizens.  each step takes from 30 to 90 days, and there are a number of steps.  they are trying to wear you out on waiting.  

also a physical has to be done and back ground, police check, so if you do not have any of these your still going to be waiting..
