How long does the NSW ski season run for?

I want to go down for the first week of september - will it still be open and what will the snow be like?

  1. Probably not good, last time I was there then, they were running into bushfires and making snow? haha... It is open, go down check it out... can't hurt! : )


  2. The official snow season ends in October so September should be fine for skiing and the like unless some unusual weather hits and closes the season early.

    If there is no natural snow there will be plenty of artificial snow so that wont be a problem.

    I would check with accommodation providers that your fee's are refundable if the snow season finishes early.  

  3. It all depends on the winter.

    Last winter there were bushfires in that area in September.

    A way to see what sort of snow coverage there is before going there is through the snow cams on the net.

  4. The season will last till the snow melts, & the conditions will be ( no snow and dismal. )
