How long does the Schengen visa interview take?

Hi, i would like to know how long does the interview take? And, will they be calling up all the persons involved with the documents i will submit? like the contract from the employer im gonna work at when i come back, the municipality hall to confirm if the sponsor exists, my part time work in the US? Because I am scheduled on a monday and i would not know if it will conflict with my other schedule on that day. though, it is in the afternoon. Will they be calling all these people and take a long time? Thanks!
