  1. Lincoln Technical Institute was founded in 1946, and it  offers hands-on training in a variety of locations across the U.S., including Denver, Nashville and Queens, New York. This institute offers courses such as Fuel and Emissions Systems, Drivability Diagnostics and Electrical Systems. This program normally  takes two years to complete. For those who qualify, the college also offers specialized training with car manufacturers, working on popular consumer vehicles.
