Me and my husband hope to go to the States for a few days in November to visit my relatives. My husband needs to apply for a visa due to convictions when he was a teenager, he has never been in prison. How long will the application take and will he have any problems obtaining a visa.

  1. applications already take a while, but since he has to get a visa due to convictions? it will take longer because of researches within his past, records and such.

i have no ideas on the time length .

  2. I think you should make an appointment A.S.A.P. there can be a long waiting list they will send him details of the date and he will probably have to travel to the American embassy in London.he will have to wait in the embassy and will be interviewed. this could take hours..

.visit the web site.www.americanembassy.co.uk good luck.

  3. depends on what country you are from
