How long does the whole trip take?

When flying over a location at 50mph with a balloon. after 2 hrs i release the balloon and decide to go back for the balloon. Take into account there is a headwind of 50mph and my true airspeed is 100 knots.

If you didn't go anywhere after you released the balloon,  then it would take you 3 hours.  2 hours to where you released the balloon, and 1 hour to get back to where you started

You question is quite confusing though.

I guess if you released the balloon, you wouldn't have one to go back to. Your question makes no sense.
