How long does vicodin stay in your sysytem?

How long does two vicodin stay in your system? I have a prescription but they were prescribed in march so I probably shouldn't be taking them, although it was for pain.

Hi, I have a vico prescription too for the past 5 years refill when needed.  I use them when I get any pain that needs more then motrin or aspirin. If you have a prescription I don't see what the harm is in taking them if you really need to. Don't mix them with anything that hinders you, like sleeping pills or booze.. GOOD LUCK!!

3 days at most if u drink normal amounts

Generally 4-8 hours. It depends on your kidneys and liver. These are the major metabolizers of narcotics. Meds have a long shelf life.
