How long doesit taketo get to atlanta georgia from hendersonville nc

we are going on a trip to puerto rico and our flight leaves from atlanta ga and i was wondering how long it takes to get to atlanta from nc and our flight leaves at 9:30 what time do you think we get up in the morning to mae the flight i was thinking 3:00am

i would go the night b4 but if thats not possible..you can figure at least 5 hours in the car

stay the night in atlanta. you never know what traffic's gonna be like here. plus, who want's to get up that early?

We have traveled that interstate about 4 times in past 2 years and as the others recommend, I would not cut things too close bec missing your flight, running late or into say construction backups at night might cause PANIC etc.  If you don't want to drive down the evening before and find an economic budget hotel on-line, then I would recommend you instead planning to leave home around 12 midnight and driving down and say sleeping in your vehicle in the airport parking lot or in the terminal itself.

You need to leave before 3am.... It is about a 3 1/2 hour drive (if you have no problems on the road) and you should be at the airport at least 2 hours before your flight.  I'd probably leave at like 2 am, if not earlier.  It never hurts to be at the airport early - sometimes it can be a challenge to find parking then you have to check in your bags (always a line!) and then go stand in the security line and then make it to your concourse.... go early!!!!
