  1. the water conditioners I use are NovAqua and NovAmquel and i stir it for a few seconds til the water in my container becomes crystal clear and that's when I know it has taken effect. Then i dump it into my tank for the water change.

  2. it usually only takes a few seconds, read the bottle and if it doesn't tell you wait 1-5 minutes (however patient you are).  Mine takes effect immediately so I don't wait on mine.

  3. Most water conditioners take effect immediately. Yes you can certainly change the water now. You can put in any bacteria conditioners like cycle (or stress zyme) in your tank with every water change, it is actually recommended that you do. With the salt, it is your preference. But if you have fish that might be sensitive to salt, do not use it in your tank. I personally only add salt to my aquarium if I have sick fish, the fish love salt in their tank, or I see ripped or torn fins. Other than that I never add salt with every water change.

  4. Most water conditioners are pretty much instant, so you can just put the conditioner in the water and then add the water right away.

If you usually add salt to your tank you can add it every water change, but don't add it if you are just topping up your tank because it is low from water evaporation, because salt does not evaporate out like water does.

Once your tank is cycled, there is no need to add any more of the bottled bacteria stuff.  There should be plenty of the bacteria already established in your tank.  However, it doesn't hurt to add "Stress Zyme" every time you do a water change.  You cannot overdose your tank with bacteria and the stuff in "Stress Zyme" that helps enhance your fish's slime coat is good for them.  Just add enough to cover however many gallons you are adding though, not enough to do the whole tank every time.

  5. if u just set up or bought the tank, put it in there and wait like 1 day and itll work, but it gets rid of chlorine instantly but it might be hasurdous to your fish so just wait 12 or 24 hours just to make sure it wont kill them
