I just started playing yesterday! I have 2 gym badges (of 8) and it's already been 7 hours. I'd predict around 35-40 hours based off of this.

if you want to "catch them all" it may take a long time, I have 250 hours in and I still need atleast 100 pokemon.

depends. if you want to rush through the game, or take your time and train up your pokemon to be stronger against the elite four.

It takes a long time to fully finish the game. If you mean just beat the Elite 4, it only takes 6 days of time. I've played the game over and over, so you can trust me.
