I was wondering if anyone knew how long a forensic autopsy usually takes(like hours or days?) in all.

  1. I am no expert, but autopsy results can take several weeks to collect due to tissue preparation and examinations, toxicology results, etc.

  2. It all depends on the possible causes of death. It could take anywhere from two hours to 10 hours. If the autopsy was started in the morning, it would take no more than a day at most. (depending on what, if any, cause of death is a suspicion).
