How long for golf?

Question

I am playing with three other people today, and i was wondering which wouild be faster to play nine holes?

1.) one group of four players

2.) two groups of two players

Two groups of two.... you'll have less waiting for the others in your group to take shots.

While 2 groups of 2 would normally play faster than one group of 4, you also need to consider how busy the course is going to be.  If you're behind all foursomes, you might as well play as a foursome.   Playing as twosomes would make the round seem a lot slower because you'd be waiting more for the groups ahead to clear the fairways/greens before you can hit.
