How long for tax returns?

How long does it usually take to get your tax return, returned to you.. i had 2 years worth,, this years got electronically done last tuesday and threre was a paper one that got faxed out the day after.. so how long should i expect to wait...

Unfortunately, there's no reliable yardstick when it comes to the ATO.

I've had returns within seven days (when lodged electronically).

But I've also waited a couple of weeks.

I think it depends on how busy they are on any given day.

I swear there are times that the ATO just starts at the top of the "in box" every day, without giving consideration to the mail that's at the bottom of the stack and been sitting there for three weeks.
