How long for twin inboard repower for Chris Craft?

It has been two months since the marina hauled my 36ft chris craft to be repowered. Pulling out omc 460s with V drives and replacing them with 454s. Any one out there have a repower experience that took this long? Is it normal or is this marina incredibly slow?

  1. My advice is get down there and get off the computer.  The mechs can tell you whatever they want over the phone.  You need to be there to see what the problem is.  Did you get a time estimate from them?  If so was it two months?  If you didn't, then they are probably working on a bunch of projects at the same time.  Have you given them any money up front?  If so, tell them it's time to get your boat done..

  2. they have probably encountered some type of problem that is going to either cost THEM or YOU more money and they are trying to cut their losses.  have you talked to them AT  the shop?  you might hire a pro to go talk to them before you end up getting charged a good deal more than the original agreement.
