How long from cancun airport to maya riviera?

The Riviera Maya goes all the way from Cancun well past Playa del Carmen, which about an hour by taxi or van from Cancun Airport.  The website states the resort is about 25 miles south of Playa del Carmen, but they claim it's an hour from Cancun Airport (I don't buy it -- my wife and I stayed at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, which is about halfway between Cancun Airport and Playa del Carmen, and it took us about half an hour to get there).  Plan on an hour and a half in a taxi or van to get there.  Hopefully the resort has a van, or you got a package deal that includes ground transportation.

We've done it twice. It's a full hour ride. We used Cancun Shuttle which we arranged before hand. They weren't great. We told them we needed seat belts cause we had 4 kids under 6 and there were not enough seat belts.
