Do you believe it? Why hasn't this been mentioned before with EVP's? Why aren't they using it? I only just heard of it from a question on here just lately.( Can't remember your name..but thanks! It was really fascinating! Hope it's true! )

  1. I just watched it, and all i can say is, that guy is a hoax. First, all the peoples questions were over ridden, and he just added his own questions.. Then the secret passage way, (The main topic) it..was there, but had to be concreted through, so no one would be allowed to do that, so you cannt prove its there...Trust me there was no spirit on the other end at all....

    ONE BIG HOAX ...lol

Yes TR your link doesnt work, please repost it...

  2. A Franks Box would be only unreliable... depending on atmospheric conditions, a radio signal can "skip" across the underside of a thermal layer... and brief / partial words, syllables, sounds etc... can come across from great distances. Ive used a citizens band radio to skip a signal from Washington DC to Utah... thats a long distance for only 4 watts worth of signal.

Using "White Noise" as this box essentially does, is something that can be accomplished by turning on a television to a non-broadcasted channel.

That is why "Franks Box" isnt , nor will ever be, widely used.

  3. I'm building one right now. It's okay that you can't remember my name. If you want the instructions on how to build one I can e-mail you a PDF file of it.

  4. Hi Deenie, yes I have heard of it. It's been around a few years. After going through the circuit schematic I have no qualms saying that it is electronic claptrap. I think a lot of people, even people doing paranormal investigations, are pretty dubious of it, which they should be.

There was a write-up about this in the first issue of Journal of Paranormal Research ("Analyzing Spirit Communication Devices", see link below). Give it a read and you'll learn more than you ever wanted to know :)

EDIT: Sorry about the bad link, thanks for letting me know. Fixed now.

  5. I think it's still interesting. Who knows..the ones who are seriously working on it could be a part of something   comparable to computers in the future!

erm...you haven't connected to email on your profile. We can't email you if you don't do that!

  6. POORT!

  7. I, too, have first heard of this box today.  Since hearing of it, I have been spending my afternon studying it.  I have studied the schematics for the device and have determined that it is nothing more than a scanner, constantly scanning AM,FM, and short wave radio signals.  Basically, the sound you here from the box is the same sound you would here if you were to constantly turn the dial on an older radio.  You hear bits and peices of each channel you run across, and I think it would be safe to say that you could peice together any conversation you want.  You can make out words and even phrases and if you wait long enough for the scan to take place, you will hear what sounds like an answer.  I think it would be more convincing if the scan were to stop at the point where the "voice" is heard.  This is only a preliminary judgement, as I will continue studying this box and perhaps build one for the sake of personal curiosity.

TR, you link doesn't seem to be working.  Could you please repost it?

  8. I have been asking questions about franks box or the telephone that talks to the dead. There are too many variables that can contaminate the data for anyone to say it is true.Do ghosts have ears to listen to what is being said to them anyway? Why would you need ears if you are ghost? Sorry but common sense seems to prevail here. It would be awesome if it were true but...

besides Chris Moon is trying to make money off of it doesn't that reek  of a hoax?

  9. The argument has been made that Thomas Edison was working on a ghost communication device – a ghost box of sorts, to contact the dead.  However, there are many Edison experts that would argue that it was only legend, a myth that is untrue.  They will point out that he neither believed in the afterlife, nor did he believe spirits and ghosts could be contacted through an electronic device.  Whatever the truth behind Edison, one has to believe it makes a good story and backdrop to the ghost box.  Even more intriguing, some today claim they are in contact with Thomas Edison via the ghost box, but many respected researchers of the latest ghost box technology have yet to make contact with the famous, dead inventor.
