How long have you used one pair of shoes?

Question

What is the longest amount of time you have worn the same pair of shoes? Also, what did you use them for?

Shoes that you only wore for special occasions don't count.

I've been using one pair of running/all purpose shoes for 8 years. They are my favorite pair ever but are nearing the end as a hole is wearing in the toe. They have been used for cross country, track, lawn mowing, and just about anything else you can think of.

3 years they were just flip-flops btw my feet r still grown but I hope not much longer cuz I'm all ready a 8 ha ha

8 Years? Waaoo!! That's really a long time. I think comfortability is main issue when selecting new shoes. Good quality shoes most of the time last longer. But it’s very important that you select right pair of footwear for your specific use and purpose. My personal experience was 4 years using same pair of shoes. But those were Nike Sports shoes. I mostly wore those when I used to go for walk in the morning or when playing basketball with my friend. Believe me they last for 4 whole years and still were in good shape, but I got bored of those.

that's a long time lol

Me, I only had a pair for about 3 years

I had/ still have a pair of nike dunks that looked very cute when I got them, but are beat up now, and the sole's all worn out and the leather's split.

I did everything in them: wore them to school, walked around in them, ran the mile in P.E with them, played basketball in them in practices and games, wore them on vacation, everywhere.

Now I have shoes, but I have multiple pairs for specific purposes.  I've been looking for a good deal for another pair of sneakas that look great and can do it all
