I'm planning a cruise next year (roundtrip from New York to Nova Scotia) with available dates starting in August 2008, but I was hoping I could wait until February 2008 to book it.

  1. Well I think you can do it about 8 months in advance.  My husband and I are taking a cruise to Alaska and we booked the trip in Feb.07 and by July the trip was sold out and we don't leave till Sept.

Check there cruise lines.  They should be able to show you.  Also, you will not have to pay in full with a cruise line.  You may know this already.  This site received the Pinnacle Award from Carnival Cruise Lines two weeks ago for more bookings placed through them than any other site.
