How long in advance should I order plane tickets to South Korea?

I plan on going to South Korea for winter break, how long in advance should I order the plane tickets for?

Any time around December or Christmas the flights are usually sold out. So if you want to travel then you should get your tickets as soon as possible.

I don't know when the latest is that you should wait. I don't know that they'll sell out anytime soon, but I would recommend geting them one month in advance. I just recently flew to Seoul and I got my tickets only 3 days in advance and a one way ticket from the U.S. cost me $1100. It also varies by what day of the week you fly and what airline you use. I don't know where you are flying out from but right now there are $1800 2-way tickets from the U.S. I would say that's pretty good considering how much my 1-way was.

WAYYY in advance! i'm half korean and i have a lot of family over there (including my sister) so i go to korea A LOT.

since it's summer right now (the time when its busiest and most expensive) hold off on buying tickets. but you should definitely buy tickets  as soon as summer's over and as soon as you know the exact dates you need to go.

if you go in the summer, people usually buy tickets 4 months in advance.

ultimately i think you should buy your ticket.. september/ october (maybe even late august)
