How long is 221g for h2b visa?

Question

May 9 i when for may h2b visa interview got 221g green form and until now still no result,, i am getting so stress about all of this can any body pls. tell how long it will take the visa will be expiring on dec. 25 2008, what are my chances of getting it I am filipino and why is it so hard for filipino to get a visa. and to think i its not my 1st time to get a visa I got a valid C1d.

Well, since you haven't mentioned why your visa application was placed on hold under 221g, there really isn't anyway to give you an answer. Were you missing a document, are they investigating your credentials? Are they doing some sort of security check? H2b visas are a bit like B1/B2 visas in that you have to prove to the satisfaction of the interviewing officer that you intend to return, something not every Filipino has done  in the past, as I imagine you know. Plus the visa office in Manila sees a wide variety of fake diplomas and other documents, and actual official documents with fake information on them, as I imagine you also know. So, if they aren't inclined to believe everyone who walks up to the window, there are plenty of reasons why they might feel a bit cautious. Since you already had a C1d though, it sounds like they aren't sure about your credentials for the H2b visa.

Edit: Well, there really isn't anyway to know for sure. They may have contacted your sponsoring employer and are waiting for a response, or they may have contacted the KCC for assistence, etc. As for reapplying, that would be pointless. No one's going to give you a different answer until they've figured out whether your sponsor is legit, or not.

You can reapply until you get approved.

There's no limit for reapplying because the denial is not permanent, but yet you have your time until the date of visa expired.
