How long is a driver written test?

I'm planning on getting my license on my 18th birthday next month and am just wondering how long the written test is and how long I have to wait to take the Road test. Also, do I still get a permit like underage drivers or do I just get my license?

You cant get a full license without a permit

It is all different depending upon what state you are in. I am in Wyoming & when I took the drivers license test the written portion was like 2 or 3 pages front & back. I was then able to take the driving test that same day, but in Wyoming our DMV's don't really get that busy. I know that in CA you have to make an appointment to take the test otherwise you will be waiting for hours. I do believe that you would be able to get your license without the permit because you would be an adult. Once again that is something that depends on the laws in your state. Good luck though!!
