An hour in the USA is 60 minutes, and I thought an hour was an hour no matter where you were....however, I just read an answer that said there were only 22 hours in a day in Canada, since their hours are longer. So how long is an hour in Canada?

  1. 60 mins...same as ever

  2. Is this a joke? You can't be serious.

  3. 1 bajillion minutes

  4. If your waiting to go into see a dentist an hour can seem to last for ever, if you're enjoying your self an hour goes past very quickly. But... If you just want to know how many minutes in an hour anywhere in the world... it's 60 minutes long and no different in Canada, the days are so called longer because the sun goes down at a later time in the day due to it's position in the sky and nothing else.

  5. You should know better than to believe everything you read on the internet.

  6. 60 minutes, its the same everywhere

  7. 60 minutes

  8. Good one.  It is from a Rick Mercer skit on 22 minutes

  9. Well, you're not quite right.  Everything in Canada is measured in the metric system.  Everything in the metric system is based on the number 10.  So you see there are 10 hours a day in Canada, not 22.  Each hour has 100 minutes,  not 60.  Each minute has 100 seconds, not 60.  So by the time you do all the math and add everything up we only have 10 months in a year but a year only has 100 days and 100 days.  Each week actually has 10 days, and each days has 10 hours etc etc.

    Simple enough eh?

  10. 60 minutes everywhere

  11. 60 minutes or 3,600 seconds.

  12. it doesnt really matter because time is non existant   "time is just a state of mind that causes people to lose there state of mind"

  14. You'd better stop giving answers if you ask this kind of question! lol

  15. It's 42 minutes in the winter; 68 minutes in the summer. Sorry Buk. I lied. Couldn't help it.

  16. Maybe it means that the number of hours of daylight are less in Canada. because you are right, an hour is 60 minutes everywhere.

  17. Were you reading about hours of daylight?  During the summer, some places in Northern Canada have 22 hours of daylight.  As in the sun can be seen for 22 hours, and not seen for 2 hours.
