Six weeks is the optimum time to keep it, but you can stretch it to 3 months if you wrapped and froze it properly.

You can use this chart to be safe

Whole chicken: Can be stored in the freezer for up to 12 months. Remove the giblets from the whole chicken before wrapping and freezing.

Chicken pieces: Can be stored in the freezer for up to 6 months.

Ground chicken: Can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.

Giblets: Can be stored in the freezer for 3 months.
