How long is formation rangers...preferred anything helps?

My husband is in rip and everytime he talks to me the rules are different like he said he can only talk on saturday and sunday and ive talked to him every friday since hes been there???? also he has formation at night how long does it last. i think he dosnt want to talk and calls when he wants not when he cans please let me know..

No, actually they do change things around and frustrate you a lot. It is intentional and makes you acutely aware of the flexibility one needs to have at all times. A very critical skill considering that things just don't usually go as planned in Ranger ops. In fact, they never go according to plan. You have to adapt and do it without complaining or questioning.  

Formations last as long as the C/O, Top or Platoon Sgt decides they do. He has no way of knowing until they are over.
