How long is ground beef good for?

i had 2 lbs of frozen ground beef in my freezer and my son unplugged the fridge so it all defrosted. i put the ground beef in the fridge instead of re freezing it. how long can i keep it in the fridge before it goes bad?

I would only keep it for a day or two in the fridge, but you also don't want to refreeze it raw.  I'd suggest making something like meatballs or taco mean with it and then freezing it after it has been cooked.  You could also just brown the meat and freeze it again to use later.  We had our freezer go out and this is what we did with a lot of the meat to keep from throwing it away.

2 days max is my rule. Cook it and THEN freeze whatever yyou cooked so you don't waste it.

No more than 2 days. I would make some meatballs or something to hurry up and get that cooked before it goes bad. I wouldnt trust it after 2 days.
