How long is hamburger good for in the fridge?

I bought some on saturday, the date on it says the 11th, is it safe to eat today? It's only been in the fridge, not the freezer.

It is really hard to tell with meat usually you want to get rid of it before the expiration date but then again it depends on what type of refrigerator you own.  Best way to tell is to look at it and if it is a good looking color like a pink then it would be good but if not and it looks like it is aging and becoming a greenish brown it could be molding and being susceptible to ecol i.

Give it a sniff... if it smells funky... toss it.  It's difficult to cook out that smell even if you season heavily.

If it smells like beef, then eat it.

Generally, with my fridge, uncooked ground beef only last 3 or 4 days before it smells and you're pushing 5 days which is iffy.

Yes it will still be safe to eat. 3-5 days is what I recommend.

No dont take ur chance you will get very sick, even though it wasnt' in the freezer its past its due date dont eat it
