How long is it from eastkilbride up to inverness ?

im going up to inverness for the weekend and i stay in eastkilbride ! how long would the journey be ? were leaving at six in the morning what time would we arrive at ? and what could i do while im in the car ? need answers. going tomoro ! thanksss xxxxx

It may only be only 175 miles, but what these route planner sites do not take into account is the type of road you will be travelling on. I know from experience that it is impossible to maintain a good average  speed on the type of roads you will be travelling on. Just relax and enjoy one of the most beautiful countries in the world. The shortest route is not necessarily the quickest as they may go through towns, with all the associated problems. i.e  I live near Coventry and travel to Scotland in my HGV. The shortest route to Edinburgh is via the  M1/A1 But the quickest is via M6, M74 M8 A8 !! more mileage but less time.
