With the economy falling apart, lose of jobs, food and gas prices going through the roof, and companies Moving out of the US.

Banks now being save by the Government, and housing forecloser hiting as high as 1930s. indymac take over by feds today. and all the other thing happening.

When do you think it will turn around, and what will it take.

Our biggest probolem is oil. Thats it. The economy was going along great until the oil prices went haywire. Think about it. So if gas goes down to lets say $2 $2.50 a gallon the economy would start cruising again.

The US won't climb out of the hole until they embrace Globalization which most of the rest of the world especially China & India, has done.  And that won't happen unless the US education system gets much better real fast & since that is highly doubtful the US is in for even more big trouble especially when Obama throws up tariffs to "protect" the US but will actually make things even worse.

Two, painfully easy, steps will get us back up and running by next summer:

1)  Drill offshore, at least 50 mile radius; oil will start pouring in at about 7-8 months out (don't believe Dem propaganda - it's redesigning fuel standards that will take 5 years!)  Don't even have to touch ANWR.

2)  Kill the speculators.  Pass a law that requires %50 of all oil bought be received for delivery.  IE; if you buy 100 bbls oil, you have to take delivery of 50 bbls.

   This could happen if Dems & Repubs would meet half way; Pelosi won't even put it to a vote, because she knows half the Dems would vote to drill right now; b/c the Dems know their constituents are watching everything they vote on at $4 /gal.

*8 to 10 years give or take a year the economy cycle in that period of time.By the time the economy hits the end of the cycle we will have more fuel efficient car on the road therefore crude oil price will be lower also India and china will have to stop subsidizing fuel due to this economic down turn witch will help lower consumption.Industries will move back to US due to the weak dollar and high oil prices.Most people will have left the suburbs and move back to the city and mass transit will be built cutting our fuel consumption.Price at the pump will go down but not any lower than $3.00 per gallon.In the next thirty years the price of oil will go back up but we will no longer be using it for fuel so it will not have the same effect on the economy.Power plants ,factories and people will be in space so to cut the burden on the environment .The next economy boom will come from space exploration and robotics.Everything we face now will be and after thought in a couple of years for us at least .We tread to adopt to change better the any  other country to changing times.Next few years will be hard but we will be fine.....

1) destroy the Federal reserve

2) cut taxes for EVERYONE

3) shrink size of government so that uncle sam is doing neccecary spending

4) open new types of transportation like biofuel
