How long is one lap around the Indy 500 track?

Next year, my I'm going to the Indy 500 with my school marching band. When we get there, we are marching around the track, parade style, playing music. So, I was just wondering how long is one lap on the track?

2.5 Miles unless your JR and get to run below the line  which is then 2.45 miles

you already know the answer, 2.5 miles..... but grueling and hot as it might be.... id consider it an honor.... not a lot of people get to walk the brickyard. racing fan or not.... id try to take  it all in and enjoy it. lot of history there

The Brickyard is a 2.5 mile track. Have fun with that!
